Hello,
I’m Julie. I coach women to explore what's possible, shift what’s holding them back, and accomplish what matters most in their career, leadership and life - particularly during midlife.

No bells or whistles - just real coaching that gets results.

About Me

Why Work With Me

As your coach, I bring not only my 30+ years of professional experience and credentials but a lived understanding of what it means to navigate big change and uncertainty. My coaching approach blends practical strategy with empathy and intuitive understanding, helping you move forward with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

Real-World Experience That Informs My Coaching

My career has seen me wear many hats—building a successful recruitment business from a startup to sale,14 years later - working as a Manager, Recruiter, Consultant and in senior Sales & Marketing roles. Like many of the women I now coach, I am someone who has faced and overcome significant challenges both professionally and personally.

My own experiences of career transitions, loss, and re-starting are why I now specialise in Career, Leadership, and Personal Development Coaching for women. I understand the complexities of navigating change while staying true to your values, strengths, and aspirations. I also recognise the unique physical, emotional, and personal shifts that many women experience in midlife, and the impact these can have on confidence, identity and purpose.

Professional Qualifications You Can Trust

I am a qualified Professional Coach (AIPC) and a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF)—the gold standard in global coaching practice. I also hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, grounding my coaching in both personal and commercial insight.

Julie High Res-67.jpg

My career spans over 30 years working in both Australia and London, as well as owning and running a successful business. I've worked across a diverse range of industries including Recruitment, Career Coaching, Consulting, Health & Wellness, and Media.

Where My Coaching Journey Began

For 14 years, I owned and was the Director of a successful recruitment agency in Brisbane, Australia where my interest in coaching began. I discovered the power of coaching to support people transition in their careers, boost confidence, and align them to lasting success

Why I Specialise in Coaching Women

Having navigated significant personal change and a life redirection along with the realities of managing a chronic health challenge, I understand the unique changes that midlife presents for many women. I’ve experienced firsthand what it’s like to lose momentum, feel stuck, and face crossroads in both my personal and professional life—while embracing the possibilities they can open up.

One of the great benefits of coaching is that when you’re unsure of what to do next or what changes to make, it can provide valuable clarity and direction— both quickly and with meaningful insight.

What I Offer You As Your Coach

Now in my 50s, I bring a unique blend of life experience, business acumen, and deep empathy to every coaching session. I ensure you leave each session with clear goals and an action plan to make things happen whether it be with Career Development Coaching, Leadership Coaching or Personal Development Coaching.

Forever a naturally curious person I love hearing everyone's story, while keenly supporting you in discovering your "blocks" and helping you thrive at any age.

Let’s work together in discovering the next steps toward your goals—whatever they may be.

Is "No Pain, No Gain" Still Relevant?

Today we discussed the recent docuseries on Rafael Nadal, a champion who spent much of his career competing through significant physical pain, yet his success wasn't built on ignoring it.

His approach was one of radical acceptance—acknowledging the pain, accepting the reality of it, and adapting accordingly. While many saw him as simply pushing through, he was actually responding intelligently and focussing his energy on what he could still control. It was that mindset and self-awareness that enabled his brillance!

When Paul Brereton, former National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) Commissioner, resigned, he spoke about becoming "a distraction" and the role he had played in his own downfall. It raises an interesting question: how much of our behaviour is driven by the desire to be liked, respected, or seen in a certain way? And how willing are we to acknowledge when we've made mistakes?

Authenticity is one of today's most popular buzzwords, but genuinely living authentically is far more challenging than simply talking about it. It requires self-awareness, humility, and the courage to own our missteps without becoming defined by them.

There is something incredibly liberating about being able to say, "I got that wrong," learn from it, and move forward. True authenticity isn't about being perfect. It's about being real — mistakes, imperfections, and all.

Negativity bias is a thing! - It's a survival mechanism designed to notice potential threats. The challenge for high-achieving women, is that this bias can quietly undermine confidence and amplify stress & anxiety in the body.

I see this showing up for many accomplished women. One negative comment is enough to make us spiral. Consciously giving weight to the positive feedback we receive, is a powerful step toward more balanced thinking and wellbeing.

Can you introduce yourself without mentioning your job, your family, your ethnicity, or where you live?
It sounds simple. It’s not! - most of us anchor our identity to roles and labels. But who are you without them?

In the frantic lead-up to Christmas, do we really need to get everything done?

Rather than piling on pressure, clear planning and prioritising what truly matters is a far smarter strategy. It not only protects your energy — it also maximises those dopamine boosts that come from the “completion elevation effect” when you intentionally finish what counts.

Working with Julie was nothing short of transformational. What truly amazed me was how a seemingly small shift—something that emerged so naturally in our session—created a profound ripple effect across my mindset and actions.

It wasn’t about an overhaul; it was about the right insight, at the right moment. Julie has an exceptional ability to hold space - knowing exactly when to ask the powerful question, when to truly listen, and when to respond with clarity and intuition. Every conversation felt deeply engaging, intentional, and tailored. I walked away not just with new awareness, but with a real, tangible shift in how I approach challenges.

FAQS

What is Coaching?

Coaching is a collaborative, forward-focused process that helps individuals identify their goals, overcome obstacles, and create meaningful change. Unlike counselling or psychology, where an expert’s focus is often on healing past issues, coaching empowers you to be in the present and discover your own answers through guided questioning, action planning, and accountability. As your coach, my role isn’t to tell you what to do but to support you in uncovering the path that feels right for you in your career, leadership or life.

How does the coaching process work?

Coaching begins with a free 30-minute consultation - either online or over the phone - to understand your goals, challenges, and priorities. From there, we design a personalised coaching plan, which may involve individual sessions or a package over several weeks or months. Sessions are held online via MS Teams or phone, so you can access coaching from anywhere in Australia or overseas. Between sessions, you’ll receive tools, strategies, and exercises to help you take action and stay accountable.

Who do you typically work with?

I work primarily with women aged 40+ (but not limited to) who want change in their career, leadership journey, or personal life. Many of my clients are navigating career transitions, stepping into new leadership roles, or seeking clarity and confidence in their next chapter. I also coach women who feel “stuck” or want to align their personal and professional goals for a more fulfilling life

What can I expect in a Coaching session?

Each coaching session is a safe, non-judgemental space where we focus entirely on your goals and challenges. Using a professional coaching approach grounded in International Coaching Federation (ICF) standards, I’ll ask thought-provoking questions, share insights, and provide practical tools that help you gain clarity, explore new perspectives, and make confident decisions.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your goals and how deep you’d like to go. Some clients gain clarity in just 2 or 3 sessions, while others choose a longer-term package of 6–12 sessions for lasting change and sustained accountability. We’ll discuss the best option for you during your free consultation.

How much does a Coaching session cost?

Individual sessions vary depending on the type of coaching - Career, Leadership or Personal Development. Coaching packages offer better value and are ideal if you’re committed to working towards bigger, long-term goals or several goals. All pricing will be discussed during your free consultation so you can choose the option that best fits your needs and budget.

Do you work with clients outside of Australia?

Yes. I'm based in Brisbane, Australia, but northern hemisphere time differences in the UK and US are easily accommodated.
